Ingredients
- 500g (2 punnets) strawberries, washed, hulled, halved
- 60ml (1/4 cup) Grand Marnier liqueur
- 1 1/2 tablespoons caster sugar
- 1 tablespoon finely shredded fresh mint leaves
- 25g (1/4 cup) flaked almonds
- Double cream, to serve
Method
- Step 1Combine the strawberries, Grand Marnier liqueur, sugar and mint in a large bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and place in the fridge for 15 minutes to macerate.
- Step 2Meanwhile, place the almonds in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring, for 2 minutes or until toasted and aromatic. Remove from the heat and set aside for 5 minutes to cool.
- Step 3To serve, divide strawberries evenly among serving bowls. Top with a dollop of cream and sprinkle with almonds.
