Just six ingredients is all you need for this speedy, exciting dinner!
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup Praise whole-egg mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon drained baby capers, chopped
- 1 teaspoon finely grated lemon rind
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1 x 400g loaf Turkish bread, cut into 4 pieces, split
- Olive oil cooking spray
- 4 (100g each) beef schnitzels (uncrumbed)
- 1 baby cos lettuce
Method
- Step 1Combine mayonnaise, capers, lemon rind and lemon juice in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
- Step 2Heat a barbecue plate or chargrill on medium-high heat. Lightly spray both sides bread slices with oil. Cook for 2 minutes each side or until golden. Transfer to a plate. Cover to keep warm.
- Step 3Spray schnitzels with oil. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for 1 minute each side for medium or until cooked to your liking. Transfer to a plate. Cover. Rest for 5 minutes.
- Step 4Place 4 slices bread on a flat surface. Top with schnitzels, lettuce and mayonnaise mixture. Sandwich with remaining bread slices. Serve.
