Ingredients
- 4 beef leg steaks or minute steaks
- 4 wholemeal pita bread
- American style mustard or hummus, to serve
- 2 roma tomatoes, sliced
- 1 carrot, peeled into ribbons
- mixed lettuce, to serve
- 3 dill pickles, sliced (optional)
Method
- Step 1Heat a stove-top grill or large non-stick frying pan over high heat and spray with oil spray. Cook the steaks in batches for 1-2 minutes each side then remove and keep warm.
- Step 2Cut each pita bread in half. Spread a little mustard or hummus inside the pita bread pockets. Cut each piece of steak in half and place in the pita pockets. Add the tomato, carrot, lettuce and dill pickles (if desired) and serve.
