Sausage rolls don’t get much quicker or easier than this recipe!
Ingredients
- 2 sheets frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 3/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 12 chipolata sausages
- 1 egg, lightly whisked
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Method
- Step 1Preheat oven to 220°C. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Cut pastry sheets in half. Sprinkle cheese evenly over pastry, leaving a 2cm border.
- Step 2Place 3 sausages in a line along the longest edge of each pastry piece. Brush pastry borders with egg. Roll up to enclose sausages and cheese.
- Step 3Cut each roll into 3 even pieces. Place seam-side-down onto baking tray. Brush with egg. Sprinkle with seeds. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until golden.
