Reign supreme and throw a pizza party for your mates — this recipe is easy to make, and tasty, too.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 brown onion, finely chopped
- 600g beef mince
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 tablespoon sweet paprika
- Pinch of cayenne pepper
- 125ml (1/2 cup) barbecue sauce
- 2 (about 220g each) plain bought pizza bases
- 100g (1 cup) coarsely grated mozzarella
- 70g thinly sliced pepperoni or spicy salami
- 25g (1/3 cup) finely grated parmesan
- Baby rocket leaves, to serve
Method
- Step 1Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium-low heat. Cook the onion, stirring, for 10 minutes or until soft. Increase heat to high. Add mince and garlic. Cook, stirring with a wooden spoon to break up lumps, for 10 minutes or until mince changes colour.
- Step 2Add paprika and cayenne pepper. Cook, stirring often, for 10 minutes or until any liquid is absorbed. Stir in 2 tablespoons of the barbecue sauce. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside for 20 minutes to cool.
- Step 3Preheat oven to 240°C. Place pizza bases on 2 baking trays. Spread remaining barbecue sauce over bases. Top with half the mozzarella. Top with mince mixture. Top with remaining mozzarella. Arrange salami on top and sprinkle with parmesan.
- Step 4Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the bases are crisp and the mozzarella melts. Top with baby rocket.
