This sandwich keeps well and seems to get better as all the flavors meld. Easy to pack for a picnic, its simple and delicious. —sdebrango

Ingredients

Recipe tomato balsamic jam (see headnote for link to recipe)

8 ounce fresh mozzarella

Baguette

Fresh basil

salt and pepper

olive oil and balsamic
Directions
- Make the tomato jam set aside to cool, slice the mozzarella, wash and dry the basil. Slice the baguette in half lengthwise, spread tomato jam on one side of the baguette, lay the mozzarella on top of the tomato, lay the basil on top of the mozzarella and drizzle with some olive oil, balsamic and some sea salt and pepper.
