Bet you didn’t know it could be this quick and easy to make beautiful baked apples.
Ingredients
- 2 Granny Smith apples, cored
- 2 tablespoons dried fruit medley
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- Pinch mixed spice
Method
- Step 1Using a small knife, score around the circumference of each apple (see note).
- Step 2Combine fruit, sugar and mixed spice in a bowl. Press mixture into top of each apple.
- Step 3Place apples in a heatproof, microwave-safe dish. Add 1 tablespoon cold water to dish. Microwave on high (100%) for 2 minutes 30 seconds to 3 minutes or until apple is tender. Stand for 2 minutes. Serve.
