Add a touch of festive cheer to your Christmas celebrations with this hazelnut eggnog drink.
Ingredients
- 6 eggs, separated
- 1/3 cup caster sugar
- 3 cups hot milk
- 1 cup hazelnut liqueur (see note)
- 3/4 cup thickened cream
- Ground nutmeg, to serve
Method
- Step 1Using an electric mixer, beat egg yolks and sugar until thick and creamy. Beat in hot milk then liqueur and cream. Set aside.
- Step 2Using an electric mixer, beat egg whites in a bowl until soft peaks form. Fold egg whites into liqueur mixture. Pour into glasses. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Serve warm or cold.
