These classic Hawaiian chicken burgers are perfect for a Friday night in.
Ingredients
- 2 chicken breast fillets
- 150g Primo English Ham
- 4 pineapple thins
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 4 round brioche buns
- 8 Colby cheese slices
- Lettuce leaves, to serve
- 2 tomatoes, sliced
- Garlic aioli, to serve
Method
- Step 1Heat barbecue grill plate or chargrill pan. Cut the chicken fillets in half horizontally. Season with salt and pepper.
- Step 2Lay the ham and pineapple slices on a tray. Brush with maple syrup. Lightly spray the grill with oil. Cook chicken for 2-3 minutes each side or until golden and cooked through. Place on a clean tray, cover and keep warm.
- Step 3Cook ham and pineapple slices for 1-2 minutes each side until lightly golden. Split buns in half and toast until golden. Place the base of each bun onto a serving plate. Top with a slice of cheese, lettuce, another cheese slice, chicken, ham, pineapple, tomato and aioli. Top with remaining buns, serve.
