Create this great tasting compote with fruit ready to cook with year round.
Ingredients
- 500g packet dried fruit salad
- 1/4 cup caster sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 whole cloves
- 3 x 5cm-long strips lemon rind
Method
- Step 1Place dried fruit, sugar, cinnamon, cloves, lemon rind and 31/2 cups cold water in a large saucepan over medium-low heat. Cook, covered, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes or until fruit starts to soften.
- Step 2Remove lid. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes or until fruit is just tender. Remove from heat. Cool completely. Serve.
