Enjoy a lazy meal in the sun with a simple, fresh and indulgent dish that will leave you with sticky fingers and a smile.
Ingredients
- 1/2 loaf sourdough bread, cut into 3cm pieces
- 300g shaved ham
- 250g punnet red grape tomatoes
- 200g round brie, cut into wedges
- 40g butter, melted
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- Finely chopped chives, to sprinkle
Method
- Step 1Preheat a barbecue or char-grill to high. Thread the bread, ham, tomatoes and brie evenly onto the skewers.
- Step 2Combine the butter and garlic in a small bowl. Brush the skewers lightly with the butter mixture.
- Step 3Grill skewers on preheated barbecue for 1-2 minutes each side or until the bread is lightly charred and the cheese begins to melt. Remove from heat and transfer to serving plates. Sprinkle with chives and season with freshly ground black pepper. Serve immediately.
