Go to this chocolate self-saucing pudding for the perfect hot winter dessert.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup self-raising flour, sifted
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder, sifted
- 1/2 cup caster sugar
- 60g butter, melted
- 1/2 cup milk
- 4 scoops peppermint choc chip ice-cream
Sauce
- 2 teaspoons cornflour
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder, sifted
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup boiling water
Method
- Step 1Combine flour, cocoa powder, sugar, butter and milk in a bowl. Stir until smooth. Spoon into four 1 1/4 cup-capacity ovenproof dishes.
- Step 2Make sauce: Combine cornflour, cocoa powder, brown sugar and boiling water in a heatproof jug. Stir until smooth. Divide sauce evenly over batter in each dish.
- Step 3Place dishes on an upturned microwave-safe plate in microwave. Microwave on medium (50%) for 7 to 8 minutes or until tops are firm to touch. Stand for 2 to 3 minutes. Top with ice-cream. Serve.
