Indulge in some low-fat chocolate covered ice-cream which has all of the flavour and none of the guilt.
Ingredients
- 80g NESTLÉ BAKERS' CHOICE Milk Choc Melts
- 4 small scoops (about 50g each) 99 per cent fat-free vanilla ice-cream (Weight Watcher's brand)
- 4 ice-cream cones
Method
- Step 1Place the chocolate melts in a heatproof bowl over a saucepan half-filled with simmering water (make sure the bowl doesn’t touch the water). Use a metal spoon to stir until the chocolate melts and is smooth (see microwave tip). Remove from heat. Set aside for 2-3 minutes to cool.
- Step 2Place the ice-cream scoops in the cones. Kids’ task: Use a spoon to drizzle ice-cream scoops with melted chocolate. Serve immediately.

Microwave tip: Place the chocolate melts in a small heatproof, microwave-safe bowl. Heat, uncovered, on High/800watts/100% in 1 minute bursts, stirring every minute with a metal spoon until smooth. Leftovers: Use the ice-cream sprinkled with hundreds and thousands in the cones for children’s parties.
