We all need some more ‘me’ time, so let’s get dinner on the table in a flash – then relax!
Ingredients
- Olive oil cooking spray
- 600g beef porterhouse steak, trimmed
- 450g fresh hokkien noodles
- 3 green onions, trimmed, thinly sliced
- 1 1/2 cups beansprouts, trimmed
- 1 medium carrot, peeled, grated
- 1/2 cup fresh coriander leaves
- 1 quantity sesame dressing (see related recipe)
- Lime wedges, to serve
Method
- Step 1Heat a barbecue plate or chargrill on medium-high heat. Spray steaks with oil. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for 3 minutes each side for medium or until cooked to your liking. Transfer to a plate. Cover. Set aside for 5 minutes to rest. Thinly slice.
- Step 2Meanwhile, place noodles in a large, heatproof bowl. Cover with boiling water. Stand for 2 minutes or until just tender. Using a fork, separate noodles. Drain. Rinse under cold water. Return noodles and steak to bowl. Add onion, beansprouts, carrot and coriander.
- Step 3Drizzle mixture with dressing. Toss to combine. Spoon into bowls. Serve with lime wedges.
